COLLEGE SOFTBALL GAME RULES

• All college games will be played as 7 inning doubleheaders under NCAA rules.
• The home team will be determined by a coin toss before the game. The home team the first game will become the visiting team for the back end of the doubleheader.
• Teams will be allotted 15 minutes each for pre-game infield and outfield before game time.
• In the event of inclement weather every effort will be made to either complete the game or make up the game at a later time based upon both teams schedule.
• All extra inning games will be complete using the NCAA tie breaking rule.
• The 8 run mercy rule will be in effect after five innings or 4 ½ innings if the home team is ahead.

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL GAME RULES

• All games whether doubleheaders or single games will be played as 7 inning games.
• The home team will be determined by a coin toss before the first game. The home team the first game will become the visiting team on the back end of the doubleheader.
• Each team will be allotted 15 minutes before game time for pre-game infield and outfield.
• In the event of inclement weather, every effort will be made to either complete or make up the game at a later time based upon both teams schedule.
• The 10 run mercy rule will be in effect after 5 innings or 4 ½ innings when the home team is ahead.
