COLLEGE BASEBALL GAME RULES

  • All games will be played as 9 inning games under NCAA rules. The only time games will be played as 7 inning games is when the same two teams play each other as a doubleheader.
  • A coin toss will determine the home team before each game. In the event of a doubleheader the home team the first game will then become the visting team on the back end of the doubleheader.
  • Each team will be allotted 15 minutes before game time for pre-game infield and outfield.
  • In between innings, pitchers will be granted 5 warm up pitches. When a new pitcher enters the game he will be granted 8 warm up pitches.
  • If a game should be stopped due to weather the game will be considered and official game if 5 innings are complete or if the home team is leading after 4 ½ innings. Every effort will be made to complete the game from where it was stopped based upon both teams schedule.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL GAME RULES

  • All games will be played as 7 inning games.
  • A coin toss before the game will determine the home team.
  • Each game will have a 2 hour and 45 minute time limit. No new inning can start after 2 ½ hours.
  • Each team will be allotted 15 minutes before game time for pre-game infield/outfield.
  • The ten run mercy rule will be in effect after 5 innings.
  • In the event of inclement weather where a game needs to be cancelled, every effort will be made to either complete the game at a later time or reschedule the game based on both teams schedule.
